NW in. | My next mri is in a month. I have been in active surveillance for 5 years now. When I found out I had cancer I retired and said I want to be able to see my kids and grands a lot more since some don't live close, do vacations that I didn't do earlier and didn't want to be halfway through a season and have to deal with it. Been through two biopsies so far and it's only been in one sector and not spreading so I will continue until my doctor says it's time to do something. Have a friend who had his removed because of his type and it was aggressive fast growing. Some have it removed because they can't live with it knowing they have cancer and want to get rid of it. I figure I'll go until I need to do something because I don't want to risk all the complications unless I need to. I'm just about 72 so it's different than if I was younger.
