| Thats why when deciding on treatments for PC you have to understand the side effects of each one. Surgery the side effects are imediate, but get better with time. Have to be patient because its a very slow process. Radiation the side effects may not come on till years later. That may change as forms of Rad treatment may have changed and gotten better.
A lot of times if your under 70 they recommend surgery. If your in your 70s or older they recommend radiation. Youll prob die of something else before the radiation side effects set in. Not everyone suffers the side effects of radiation.
I tell guys to go to a well known cancer center and learn the pros and cons of ALL the treatements and decide whats best for them. I think some new things are available now that werent available a few years ago
