when rpm goes up, momentum of the rotating mass carries it through the slugs. low rpm means you get the knife and pliers out.

kind of a fine line.. beans don't like the be beaten up much, but the stems love to wrap if given the chance. do you feel lucky?

to the op.. if you like it fine. but.. pushing more material at lower rpm means all the components that drive that rotor are being pushed awfully hard.
