Subject: Desiccating soybeans

Sanilac Co. Michigan
I'm pretty familiar with doing it in edible beans, but guess I've never seen it done up here in soybeans. Are there areas where this is a common practice? Would they typically be determinant varieties and what would the crop condition look like when the application was made?

I'm just pondering effective strategies "up here" for a soybean/wheat rotation, including shorter season soybeans(that still yield ok), desiccaton and maximizing the potential for wheat being in the last week of September/first week of October. Just thinking!
