North Dakota | I love my father. But he has spent over $10,000 on hearing aids over the last 10 years easily. Probably much more. First ones he didn’t like because they were uncomfortable. Second set he didn’t like because they made a ringing sound that drove him nuts. The last set he got worked really well but he refuses to wear them because they were terrible expensive and he is afraid he will lose them.
So my advice is don’t be like my father. Go to an audiologist. Test different ones before you buy. There are a lot of different options so it is hard to recommend one because it is a personal preference thing that varies widely between individuals. When you do find ones that work WEAR THEM!!! Cause I for one am sick and tired of being told to speak up and quit my damn mumbling.
