ECWI | Very interesting question, just sat with my radiation oncologist at 1pm today. My 12 month checkup after treatment and all is good for another 6 months.
Three years ago I was in shock, but just took the attitude it is what it is, and put it in God's hands.
Now 5 years ago was a different story, when my 20 year old daughter was diagnosed. My wife and I were CRUSHED emotionally!!!!
When it happens to you I think you can cope with it, because it is you. For your child to get sick and go through Chemo will rip your heart out.
I really believe it is easier to be the patient than the caregiver.
***I am all for alternative options, but when it happens time is of the essence, and you do not have the luxury of waiting to see if this works or that works.
My family is very blessed that we have a top notch cancer center within 20 minutes.
