west-byGod-Pa. | My pastor & his wife are both former drug addicts. They know the street life. They do street ministry. They never give out cash-too much risk of it going towards addiction. They run a ministry of taking in young female drug addicts & giving them Bible-based help. It is a program of forcing( too strong a word) addicts to face themself & deal with the internal issues. Success is on an individual basis. Some have succeeded, some not. A very difficult issue to deal with.
I know I have given cash only to regret it as I learned it had been used for illicit drugs. What I have seen of blatant addiction out on the streets & knowing how much goes on unseen sickens me. This society is gunner. I had seen a video showing street addiction: Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, only to see the same thing within 30 miles of where I live. Leaves me badly shaken. Recently, children have been found dead or in unimaginable living conditions because of “ parents” who are dopers……sick | |
