I have used mine for about every liquid I can think of, have had zero issues, I do have a new "propeller kit" to install if need be, I think the restrictions are to cover there butt, outside of the "propeller" and a seal there is nothing to go wrong assuming the motor turns. Flush out with water when done and pump away IMO
