Question, is the combine owner willing to continue to run the combine for you if you go to a newer, bigger machine rather than buying his?
I’m guessing he’s going to want to run it less.
So that’s part of my equation of downfall to loose him all the time so maybe need to get bigger. He also has some mild health issues so that’s a fear also and a reason to consider bigger. (All while on a shoestring budget). But I’m paying about $25 (I can’t remember exactly) an acre and I supply fuel and labor for repairs I’m capable of. So I have a cost, not like it’s free, to work with. |
