I use mine for oil products often. I do put some Dawn in the shop sink and drop the hoses in after and let it run a while to clean both the hoses and the impeller before storing. Don't know if this is necessary but doesn't leak oil in the drawer when stored. I also have 2 garden hose caps I put on the pump and screw the hoses together.
