| This one strikes me as a heck of a knee jerk. He didn't say a single negative thing about Kirk; his entire criticism was over the GOP and more specifically aimed at Trump. But apparently the current administration is so sensitive now that the FCC warned ABC over it. The root issue here appears to be that he was pretty blatantly trying to claim the murderer was a conservative which is pretty clearly not the case at this point? However, his remark also reads to me like he's pointing out the efforts the GOP are going through to distance themselves as far as possible from the murderer and not actually claiming the guy was a conservative. Unfortunately for Kimmel it's pretty ambiguous and not unreasonable to assume he meant the former.
The MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.
He then went on to air clips of Trump being asked how he felt about Charlie only for Trump to gloss past and boast about how construction of the new ballroom is beginning.
It's totally understandable if you don't like Kimmel as he was polarizing, but the cause behind this suspension is pretty lame relatively to other firings we've been seeing this last week or two.
