As far as I know, Jimmy Kimmel was not fired, so that indicates to me that Jimmy was not in the wrong - that he did not say anything that broke his contract with ABC/Disney.  Is he causing more headaches than ABC/Disney wants to deal with?  Yes, that is probably true.  Which is why ABC/Disney may continue to pay Jimmy Kimmel thru the end of the current contract and yet not air his show.  

(I heard his contract is soon up for negotiation/renewal, and he may likely go elsewhere.)
