To be fair, there have been calls from some to shrink the portions of fast food meals to fight obesity, which may play a small part, but I think it mostly has to do with economics. Instead of raising prices, the burger just shrinks a little. They probably did it over time, in such slight increments no one noticed.
I do notice that places like McDonald's does not place a weight on their burgers (except for the quarter pounder). If you read the info on the Big Mac, they just say '2 all beef patties' without stating the size of them. | |
