JAnderson - 9/17/2025 20:26 I’m not hooking up a trailer for 1/2 mile. Our lawnmower gets drove 2 miles one way back and forth, it’s 15 minutes of travel time and probably takes that long just to hook up a trailer. If the mini goes 2mph it’s 15 minutes of driving one way. I’d like to see you hook/unhook and load/unload that mini plus travel time in 30 minutes for the round trip
What the heck are you doing that it takes 15 minutes to hook? 3 minutes would be an average time 5 minutes tops.
I load for any trip over 300yds or so
Maybe he's throwing chains and you aren't.
All my trailers are ball or pintel, Haven't tried chaining one to my truck, don't seem very safe
You must never have to look for an available pickup, find a hitch, find the trailer, jack turns hard, Quick check over of tires/lights, etc. If everything is in place sure 3 minutes to hook up, then you have to still load the machine, and should chain it down. 15 minutes isn’t out of line if you’re working at a relaxed pace by the time everything is said and done.
