A few times, I've made a purchase only to see that the item comes on sale soon after my purchase. Recently this happened when I purchased a 1" air impact from them only to see it for $50 less a couple of days later. I hadn't even taken it out of the box yet.
I lamented my poor timing to the clerk who said "No problem since it is within the return time period". She in effect entered a return at the price I paid and then a purchase at the sale price. The difference was credited to the credit card I had used for the initial purchase. I did not even have the item with me.
I don't know if this is general policy or I just got lucky but it is worth asking about if you find yourself in a similar situation.
