Malta, Illinois | Yes, those will have little to no value. Some of those tools are over 25 years old. I got my first set of Dewalt 18v tools in 2000 when I bought a new pickup. It was part of some promotional deal GM and Dewalt had going. I used those tools up until about five years ago. The tools worked fine for the most part but battery technology with the 18v platform was so far behind everything else that it was time to make a change. We bit the bullet and slowly began buying 20v tools to make the switch. The 18v tools have been gone for a few years now. 25 years ago they were great tools. Now they are cumbersome, underpowered, and have poor batteries. We briefly tried the 18v to 20v adapters. They worked fine but the adapter was nearly impossible to get off. For anyone that is at a crossroads with 18v tools and needing batteries I highly recommend making the switch to 20v. | |
