southern MN | Free speech was being curbed by the other side for a while there, and still is. The hate speech laws, and the editing of social media, and so on. I hope those serious curbs on free speech are ended, by both sides. It is a dangerous slope and fairly easy to fall down it.
Jimmy Kimmel has a right to say what he wants today. I appreciate that right being protected now, and hopefully into the future. For him, for you, for me.
Actions and words have consequences, and so with his free speech. The free market and society’s common sense should decide what those consequences are, while allowing him to continue to have his free speech.

If you look at the conservative minded people in business, you will see they similarly have to consider their personal choices of exercising free speech vs being accepted buy both sides of the public, and representing their employer's decency rules. It’s always been that way for extremes to society’s norms. The free speech should be preserved and allowed, but there can and should be consequences to such speech.
I hope you agree we need to stop the curbs on free speech that are left over from the previous administration. So that all of us have access to such free speech, not just one side.
