For the price of 7’s and 8’s get one of them. Heck even a 9. There’s a 9230 with 1,000 sep hours on Michigan for 129,000. That’s a heck of a lot machine for the money. There’s guys that run those sized machines with less than the acres you are farming.


You’re not wrong, but the bigger the machine ya go the more I worry about maintenance and what not, not done by the owner/operator. A paranoia thing I suppose. Not that we’re gods gift to anything here…


The neighbors 8120 ate the CVT drive, and after pricing it, his 8010 is now a parts machine to keep the 8120 going. So I'd say your worries are valid. His dad went from a 2188 to a 7130 for that reason among many, as well as the ability to use an adapter to continue using his legacy heads.
