Stripped treads on 9760 combine final drive wheel bolt. What to do?

Your choice what brand/type you can find without breaking the bank. Helicoils are the chintziest of them all but they work fine for me when I’ve used them. Then there’s several other brands that are more substantial looking.

I bought a tap for a couple bad holes I had when I bought my combine used. Bolts didn’t want to thread in right so I ordered the tap. They both felt too big after I chased the threads, but they torqued and have held just fine.

Maybe you can borrow a tap and try chasing threads first and use a new bolt.
