SC WI | We have the same tractor. The only thing that keeps the lock plate from turning and letting the shaft out it a small notch that is supposed to catch each of the bolts. We fought the same thing using a pull behind chopper. Even used higher grade bolts and locktite. If your implement shaft is not perfectly loose and sliding easily it will work everything loose or break bolts. Turning u Der load while chopping made it worse for us. We had someone jacknife a manure spreader and break one of the ears off the tractor side. I put the lock ring on and welded it to the tractor. We installed the shaft with new bolts and locktite. Been that way for almost 10 years now and hasn't moved. | |
