Subject: RE: Best prep for painting JD wheels

Walla Walla, WA
I painted tractors and combines for my local Deere dealership. If the existing paint is in good condition, just get Chevron 51L solvent and wipe them down. It will soften the original paint and allows the new product to get a good bite. Don't let it puddle as it can lift the old finish. 51L is a great product to remove oil and grease. I would spray it through my paint gun. You need good ventilation. Paul
