Miravis Neo was absolute overpriced chit this year. It was so far behind veltemya in efficacy against southern rust it isn’t funny. I had to respray my Neo at 21 days.

Neo was chit.

I have to disagree and I have no fight is this game. As an agronomist who can recommend any of he fungicides in the market, Miavis was by for the best fungicide for Southern Rust, especially with the 3rd mode of action SDHI. Now there were some hybrids that were so susceptible that even Miravis needed help with a second fungicide application like generic Quilt.

I disagree Dan.

Miravis Neo is NOT that good for control of southern rust. It might be rated “VG” by the state university agronomy coalitions but it is a magnitude below Veltemya and about on par with Headline Amp In my opinion.

ISU 2023 & 2024 corn fungicide trial data showed Neo (whether statistically INSIGNIFICANT or not) had a yield edge vs. Veltemya - which is why a lot of us were suckered into using it and spent an extra $2 an acre for it.

If our temps would have swung cooler and favored tar spot vs southern rust in 2025, the Neo might have beaten the Veltemya. But, not with the persistency and intensity of the rust outbreak we saw.

Neo was garbage against southern rust. 2 apps and will still have garbage corn

We agree on many things like spraying early for disease! We don’t have to agree on everything based on our own individual experiences!
