Subject: RE: Corn moisture shrink

Theoretical it is 1.18 per point of moisture. When I put in scales on the farm twenty years ago I weighed and moisture tested every load. I made a shrink chart using 1.2. Between handling and over drying slightly when I emptied the dryer bin, I came up a little short bushels. I made a new shrink chart using 1.25, that I use to this day and come out long bushels every time. With that being said the elevator uses 1.4.
