West-Central IL | We used to do this years ago with those combines. Was the only autosteer system we had at the time and switched among vehicles.
Roof mounting was using a jd kit. May have had to extend it for length. If I remember right it was a long bar that went clear across the cab and mounted to the mirror pivot bolts on both sides. Maybe with spacer blocks to make it high enough to clear the roof cap.
We never used the jd monitor much once the AB line was set so it was mounted on right side ceiling. There are threaded nuts above the ceiling liner for a radio mount that we made a mounting plate to fit.
We powered using the 3pin amp plug in the cab.
The factory steering wheels are hard to remove from the splines. I remember clamping something under the steering wheel and using a gear puller on it to get them off. | |
