NWMO | Post a picture, I haven’t had issues killing shattercane with round up so far, however we don’t have resistance here yet
I have had problems killing johnsongrass with round up. It can appear very similar to shattercane except that shattercane gets a head on it more like sorghum and johnsongrass gets a head that looks more like brome. Johnsongrass tends to have a thinner stalk also as compared to shattercane.
Around here, I’ve found that a mixture of Clethodim and round up is very effective on both. Getting good coverage is essential on johnsongrass to kill it. | |
