We hadn't had rain in a month. Ground was rock hard dry after 8" in mid August. Friday night they gave us a 50% chance of something. Wake up at 330 am Saturday and see a line of storms off to the west and way north of us. Oh it'll pass north - and then it started back building well west of Madison and dropped down right over us giving 2" of rain in 3 hours. Don't ever count out midwest rains like this!
