Ohio | Not sure how many people have gotten to use it yet but we have been waiting to start a tile project until it was released. After using it for 2 weeks i like most of it. There are a few quirks in it that im sure will be resolved. I have already suggested a few things to them. First complaint i had was running the autosteer when installing the the tile. I have a 3pt plow so when i survey it records a little wiggle back and forth, the integra i used before the go 16 did the same. The problem i had was when you go to install it the autosteer would follow the survey wiggle and was constantly steering back and forth up to 6 inches. I could see if you had a pull type the problem might not exist. I never had that problem on the integra. I was told they are working on a path smoothing feature like in the path steering. My ag leader guy suggested trying to run 2 monitors one to steer with and one for the plow. I was a little hesitant at first, but gave it a try. After running the 2 moniter setup i dont know if i will go back to just the 1. Its so convenient have 1 dedicated to steering. Never having to load ab lines when switching back and forth for survey and install. And as soon as im done with a lateral im in reverse steering the next lateral backwards while loading and checking the depths and grade of it one the other monitor. Make me wonder if they would ever make it so you could run dual monitors. I think i will also run the camera feature on the steering monitor as well so i dont have to look back as much to keep an eye on the feeder. The pre rip feature is nice but its weird to me that you need to be at the min start depth for the survey before it will let you start the pre rip. To me you should be able to start the feature at any depth and the plow should be able to get to the determined pre rip depth. Overall I like the layout and functionality better, work a few quirks out and itll be really nice. | |
