Subject: Will waterhemp still seed?

NW IL
We interseeded some lawn 2 weeks ago. There are tiny waterhemp coming up with the new grass. Will this go to seed yet this fall in NW Illinois? Grass is rye grass (emerged/emerging) and some blue grass (probably just germinating). Really little to nothing is availible to use as a herbicide since the grass is still germinating. Am mowing at 1.5" to keep the competion down from the existing grass spots that were still there.
I suppose it depends when we get a killing frost, but wondered if it would still try to seed out? Wasn't sure by cutting it off so short, if that would affect and move up the reproductive cycle.
