SW Iowa | With the mower being offset to the right, enter a lateral offset to the right for the GPS receiver that is equal to the distance from the GPS receiver to the center of the mower. Set your track spacing equal to the width of the mower. This way the GPS will steer according to the center of the mower instead of the center of the receiver. Then set an AB line through the middle of the longest part of the field. Start mowing in the middle of the field and work towards the outside in a "spiral out" pattern. Similar to how a combine will spiral out to keep the unloading auger towards the middle of the field, you will spiral out keeping your mower towards the outside of the field. Remember that the AB line needs to always run through the center of the mower for this to work, so you have to tell the monitor that the receiver is offset to the right. | |
