I haven't used it for personal use, but our work travel (corporate) is ran through Concur, they have a picture upload of a receipt. Then you have to fill out the forms for it to be uploaded to your expense report.

The ability to take a picture meant I had to keep my receipts for less time with corporate policies. It isn't auto scanning for you, but might be an option as I am sure there are other apps that do the same thing.

I studied some apps as well. I can see where they would be very handy in some circumstances- but I think I'm trying to go from paper to paperless to maybe one sheet of paper with everything compiled- kind of like you have with a statement. If that makes sense. Maybe I should revisit those apps again, though. If we can get to a statement from the CC company and a compiled report to reconcile, I think it would streamline the thing for us. I think part of the issue we're having is enterprising each expense based either on the statement or the receipt. Some credit cards do the enterprising, most of ours don't. But I'm very open to suggestions. Thanks!
