You seem to be missing the point… yes government meddling has consequences…. But I’m personally all for the trade war, let China feel some pain. More government meddling is not going to solve this issue. If the acres are simply not profitable… then that means they don’t get planted or you find a different use for those acres. Being paid to not plant acres will only make the situation that much worse. Any actions done to correct it should be voluntarily. Let what’s left of the free market sort itself out.

I personally grow all my own feed so semi immune to having to buy high priced feed… but plenty of guys had to buy high priced feed in the drought just like myself… how is it any different then the guys that bought $7 corn to feed cattle and the row crop guys were happy as a bug???

Essentially your saying since you are at break even you are better then everyone else and deserve a handout to make the price better?? Don’t work like that. It’s up to you to figure it out. The world would be better off if we took care of it ourselves instead of looking for intervention. Sorry to say but you may just have to cancel your king ranch for this year…..

I get what your saying but you thinking is just to far off base. You need a better plan. The low cost producer will find a way to make it work bud
