DE does add a bit of dust/fines but usually not a problem here--maybe I use a lower rate?

The other thing I do is (1) use DE to treat the bin before filling, (2) mostly treat the bottom and top few feet of grain with DE, and (3) use Diacon for treating all the rest of the grain between those layers. (Actually I often use both DE and Diacon in the top and bottom layers.)
