in their hay day, china bought 1 billion bushel from us . if we individually would be happy with $12 beans, $3 -ish cheaper than we are now.. elon musk, jeff bezos and bill gates all spill more on their shirts at dinner. to the average American farmer maybe losing $150,000 by raising beans this year it`s devastating.

brazil has cheaper land (though it sounds like that isn`t sweet as it used to be) cheaper labor and i`m sure bayer, syngenta gives brazilian farmers sweetheart deals on inputs. but farming in brazil has to be tough too, it`s just farm magazines don`t report on it. one of these years a drought will bail us all out, trick is to successfully bridging that gap til that happens
