East Central Arkansas | Plywood under the vinyl soffit covering. I don't remember that eve area being open with the rafters exposed. The plywood under and the facer board was probably added when a addition was added to the other side of house in the mid 50's. I was born in 58.
If I continue working on this house I am sure some will get tired of my post or at least get a good laugh. Life sure was simple back when we just didn't know any better. Back in 82 when I redid my old house that was moved about 15 miles to our place, things were sure simple. I didn't have the money to do things right I just did it to get buy. Forty years later still living in that old house. Just trying to get the old family home where it will serve us for the rest of our live before we move in. Sort of still in that position of not having enough money to actually do things completely right. | |
