Missouri | get a smaller maybe 1 1/2 self feeding bit will go much faster you can get cheep self feeding paddle bits at harbor freight up to 1 3/8 drill close to roof deck so your foam channels stay open . , you will have to cut the ply wood out if it exist above the ventilated part of soffit . the age of the house plus the blocking leads me to believe there is no wood under your soffit . we never get tired of your post
