| Looking at the way your home was built, it looks like it may be difficult to create inlet in the soffit. Is there airspace above the metal fascade soffit, or is it solid wood?
If it is solid, one would have to remove all the soffit panels, cut holes to allow air intake directly above perforated panels, and have a way to also get holes in the blocker board, as you have mentioned.
Since you have gable vents, it is possible that they allow enough air intake to sufficiently ventilate the attic space. They are going to be the opening that provides the least resistance anyway, so it is certainly possible that you are overthinking this whole process. | |
