NW Washington | I am sure the VA will give you a new hearing aid, and I also think they have the specs and a mold if it is an in-the-ear of your current hearing aids.
I have hearing aids from the VA, and I dropped one of my hearing aids and then stepped on it, which crushed it.
The VA hearing aid technician had me send them the crushed hearing aid, and a couple of weeks later, I got a new hearing aid in the mail. I recall the VA telling me they will replace lost hearing aids, only one time.
So, contact the VA and tell them your sad tale and hope for the best. A friend lost one of his hearing aids in church, and some time later, someone found it. You might still get lucky.
I hope you'll be able to use an old aid until this situation is resolved.
The hearing aid company is Starkey. I think they are the only aids still made in the USA. https://www.starkey.com/hearing-aids
