So, in theory, one could build or adapt one into an open center system? Or does an open center type valve already exist somewhere?
Sure, open center is no problem.
- the proportional valve would need to be open center type
- there obviously wouldn't be a tractor load sensing connection
- you'd likely want to tap into the tractor's orbital oil supply since that would have priority over other hydraulic circuits
- sensing manual steering override would need to be done differently (usually you'd sense load sense pressure)
I don't know what you're trying to do exactly, but if your goal is to build a low dollar fully capable autosteer system then you need to be checking out AgOpenGPS! |
