Is there a correct orientation for the taps to be inserted into a main?
Anywhere but the bottom. Usually at 3-9 o'clock position if main is shallow. Anywhere above that if the main is deep enough. Guys plowing both ways and connecting laterals after, drill right in the top.
I meant is there a proper way to rotate the tap. Long ears top and bottom or 90 degree rotation of this.
