From experience of hail and drought at different stages over the years, I have to believe losing that much leaf area at this stage will mean at least a 5% reduction in yield and possibly a 10% reduction.
I assume 200 bu potential in mid August?
5% reduction is 10 bushel.
10% reduction is 20 bushel.
I’m my mind these may be conservative numbers. |
