Latimer Iowa | I was surprised by the tone of some of the responses in all honesty. A watchdog is good in many situations. Sounds like the dog really cares for your family it just has to have some guidelines and be introduced to strangers. We just lock Ivy in the office when we know someone is coming by. If she is out, she will bark and make a scene but if someone is oblivious enough to jump out of a vehicle at a barking dog and gets a nip, to me, that’s on them. Now a full on bite and shaking would be different story.
Edit to add a few pics. The kids could lay on top of them. A stranger could get a nip, especially if they pick something up in shop or approach my wife.
