A bag just rips for no great reason.
I suspect every bag rips for a reason.
Reason #1. Bag stretched too tight while being filled.
Reason #2. Animals worked on the bag in some way or another. Then the bag gets holes, moisture gets into the grain, grain expands and the bag rips.
Reason #3. Neighbor kid walks down the top of the bag. Each foot step ever so slightly punctures the bag allowing moisture to get in and bag finally rips.
Reason #4. Previous renter is upset they no longer farm a piece of ground that bag is located on and takes a knife to the bag. (Have a friend this happened too)
Bags aren't for everyone but feel like they can be a good temporary short term fix to storage.
