Just got a text from the 434 area code - wherever that is.
Asks: "How have you been?"
My response: "Not well ol Yeller got bit by a coon and came down with the rabies. Had to shoot him with the scatter gun twice cuz the first one didn't take. How about you?"
Still waiting for a response. What is your guess: I get a sympathy text in return, no response, or someone who actually knows the movie?
Don't be surprised when spam calls and texts escalate in the next few weeks. When you responded, you told the system that your number was legit. I learned this a year ago last spring when I had all that mess going on. I NEVER respond to a text unless I'm absolutely certain it's a legitimate person actually messaging me. Sometimes it takes them leaving a voicemail before I'll answer or respond. |
