nc ks | I think you have beliefs that you think are rock solid for you in your mind. And what you believe may be true for you and even possibly a sin for you if deviate from it. You have arguments that may be true in how we should act as citizens of the US and in a perfect world. The trouble is you mix that with Biblical truth and try to make interaction within out government system sin if someone doesn't agree with you. There is a lot of gray area there that you don't have the authority to cast people as sinners if they don't follow your rules. Instead of following your heart and being lead by God and letting your life be a testimony of example, you are trying to beat people into submission of your interpretation. That is the classic set up for 'if that is what a Christian is...I don't want to be one. Does more harm than good. I am in no way saying to compromise your walk by doing as society wants. I am not telling you to not speak up when God's laws are being trampled. I am saying that you are doing more harm than good interpreting what is good for the US and then saying 'cause God said so'. Just because it is good for the US and what the founders fought for doesn't necessarily make it a biblical truth and therefore a sin if deviated from. Argue for what you think we should do as citizens and we can have a discussion. Telling us it is your way or the highway and then saying we are sinners if we don't agree isn't helpful. I think the proponents of the checkoffs are sanctioning theft, but not the theft that amounts to a sin, just a difference of opinion. There are some that truly believe that checkoffs are good and the money taken from people is in their interest. They also did it by legal means apparently. Just because they are wrong, doesn't mean they are sinning. Bad people maybe.....lol. | |
