Roseglen, North Dakota | Well your brother wd be dead wrong on a nothing over 20k being spoiled. That wd be on the farmer, not on the bin.
It's fairly easy to store grain with a few simple steps.
1. Full aeration floor, which most bins that size already have.
2. Install temp/moisture cable for $1000. Monitor it manually or spend more and hook it up to your phone.
3. Turn fan on when grain is hot or wet.
4. If you're still concerned, take 2 loads out to core the bin and put them back in.
In many locations a 20k bin is considered very small. And very expensive to build
There are corn (or other grains)bins from 20,000 to 1,000,000+ and there are 0 issues if managed properly. | |
