Bags are great until 

Animals destroy a bag.

Voles get into a bag or two from underneath, unseen. 

It's too muddy or too snowy or too icy to unload bags when you need to unload them. 

A bag just rips for no great reason. 

I understand the utility of them, but they can be a real pain.
