Around here, to my understanding, it’s the load and unload equipment that makes grain bagging unpalatable. Close to .36 a bu all in.
I've been told you can rent a bagger for 8 cents and the unloader for 8 cents, so 16 cents plus the 5 cent bag and you would be at 22 cents.
We purchased our equipment and are already under 10 cents in and out. The more we use it the cheaper per bushel it gets. |
