| Russia is an actual, existential threat to Europe, and they ignore it, and follow the bogeyman of China instead. I don't particularly get it. The global economy the next decade was already going to be rough. What we're doing now is just adding to the pain. Companies are spending Billions on AI. Money received from workers, to displace those same workers. To add insult to injury, they're also forcing the public that AI seeks to replace, to build the power infrastructure to fund it. If AI works they win. If AI doesn't work, they still win, because the vast majority of this is excess capital to them anyway. We really are in last stage capitalism, where "the system" seeks to drain every ounce of equity it can from every other piece of the system. "Build a fair product for a fair price" died long ago, if it was ever even a thing. |
