NW IA | Far too late in the season I picked up a packet of giant pumpkin seeds at a store while I was waiting for my wife to finish shopping.
I haven't paid much attention to this thing, other than putting the pumpkin on sand and maybe watering it a couple of times. Otherwise this is a low input effort. Would like to try again next year.
Just wondered if there were any other giant pumpkins out in NAT land. Maybe a mistake to let the second pumpkin grow on the same vine.
The serious giant pumpkin growers on YouTube are as intense as any NCGA contest competitors.
