Subject: PAYSTAR is correct

deep SW On.

Springs are sized for the size/weight of the door. A heavier spring may not have enough wraps to completely raise the door.

Paystar is correct ...as OH door correct springs are made so door has same tension so you can have it 1/2 open and not move ,ect. Same as wraps, cable drum size is made so when the door is open you still have1 wrap on the spring . Door height & weight determines  the spring gauge and length and drum diameter...You can cheat a bit if you know your limits
